Summary chapter 2

In this chapter the main character, George, talks about how the situation of his life is now, like that his father is okay in the concentration camp, and that now hi is not going to school but hi is working in a company with other kids, and his uncle says as he is the only Jews there he needs to be a good person because he is representing all the Jewish community, he also mentions he doesn't have any problems with his stepmother, and that he also goes and sees his mother, the most important in this chapter is the start of the relationship with Annamarie, this relationship starts in the bunker, when they kiss, and after some days they keep kissing, but after a while, Annamarie says it was nothing that they had kissed.

In this quote there is presented a evening, as he says that the room had closed windows, as he also had cigarrete smoke stinging his eyes. This evening, show the sadness of the life that the author had because his father was going to working camp, the tone of the narrator is dark.

Quote 2 (p.31):In this quote the author is expressing that he cant do all the things he would like to do for her mother, as he has the yellow star and he can't go out latter than eight o'clock
